LONGVIEW, Texas – The Concordia Texas women’s golf team put together an exceptional team effort to claim first place at the Pinecrest Intercollegiate. Tiana Shobe (80-83-163) and Sophia Padilla (80-83-163) tied for first, and Shobe won the playoff holes for her first career win at the Pinecrest Golf Course.
All five scorers placed in the top five in the women’s first win of the season. Emma Finger (91-77-168) fired the lowest score on day two to tie for third place. Samantha Miethke (90-79-169) shot the second-lowest second round score to secure a tie for fifth place, while Julia Moss also placed fifth with a score of 86-83-169. In individual scoring, Maialen Erana tallied a score of 106-102-208 to come in 15th-place.Â
Concordia Texas will now head to Richardson, Texas where they will compete for the Texas Cup this Sunday and Monday.Â
