Wednesday Round-Up: Kenneth Walker III Ranks Sixth In 2023 Pro Football Focus Running Back Grades

Across 15 games played in 2023, Walker rushed for 905 yards and eight touchdowns, falling just short of a second straight 1,000-yard season. But on the receiving end, the Arlington, Tennessee native became an even bigger threat in Year 2. Surpassing his rookie totals, Walker caught 29 passes for 259 yards and his first career receiving score.

PFF’s Gordon McGuinness wraps up the 2023 season by breaking down the top performers at each position. Despite a slight step back in overall production on the ground, McGuinness breaks down why Walker’s elusiveness and ability to force missed tackles made him one of the league’s premiere backs.

Walker’s overall rushing numbers aren’t too impressive — a 4.1 yards per carry average and 900 rushing yards — but he boosted his PFF grade by being difficult to bring down. His 56 missed tackles forced on rushing attempts in 2023 were tied for the fifth most among running backs.
