Ted Lasso, as we know it, looks to be coming to an end in the coming months. Season three, which hits screens today, has been written as the final season, according to writer Brett Goldstein.
But the good news is that the show will live on in one form or another – and not just because spin-offs are already being discussed by creator Jason Sudeikis and co. Nike has announced that it will be dropping a collaborative collection with the show.
In the show, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) coaches the fictional side AFC Richmond through its ups and downs, and previously its kits had been created by the fictional Verani Sports. But for the final season, Nike has stepped in as the official manufacturer of the gear.
The collection, which went on sale on the Nike online store today, comprises the kits you’ll see on screen: the two-tone AFC Richmond home jersey in scarlet and navy is there, as is a sharp orange away kit. As well as Nike branding, it carries Bantr logos, the fictional dating app that sponsors the team these days. Also up for grabs is an array of pitchside garb including slubby hoodies in navy, grey, bright blue or even orange, T-shirts and even some Terrace-worthy scarves.
