Suffolk’s second Five Guys applies for alcohol and entertainment licence

Suffolk’s upcoming second Five Guys eatery is looking to sell alcohol and offer regulated entertainment when it opens next year.

The eatery, located in the former Dough&Co in Cardinal Park, Ipswich, has submitted a licensing application to Ipswich Borough Council.

The firm hopes to sell alcohol between 11am and 11pm, from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 11am to midnight, from Thursday through to Saturday.

In addition, it also hopes to offer late-night refreshments from 11pm to midnight, Thursday through Saturday, and is also applying for regulated entertainment.

According to licensing rules, this would include permission to play recorded music.

Construction work began on Five Guys last weekend – and it plans to open by spring 2024.

Five Guys’ second UK drive-through – and its first eatery in Suffolk – opened at the Fiveways Roundabout on the A11 near Mildenhall last month.
