Novak Djokovic’s wife, Jelena Djokovic, had a humorous reaction to the Serb’s participation in a game of “That’s What They Said” with Grigor Dimitrov for a promotional video for the World Tennis League.
Last year, the World Tennis League in Dubai had 18 of the world’s most exceptional male and female tennis players competing in teams. The exhibition tournament has since been added to the calendar. The tournament is backed by the owners of the World Tennis Championship and UAE sovereign fund Mubadala.
In the promo video for the 2022 World Tennis League, Djokovic engaged in a light-hearted game with Dimitrov. During the game, the 35-year-old wore headphones to block out any external noise, while attempting to read the Bulgarian’s lips to guess what he was saying.
Unfortunately, the game was an utter failure as the Serb was unable to guess anything. However, both players had a great laugh while playing the game.
The World Tennis League shared the hilarious video across their social media platforms.
On March 15, the World No. 1’s wife, Jelena, also shared a video on Instagram.
“Umireeeeeem 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” Jelena captioned her Instagram story.
Novak Djokovic’s US Open participation will make up for him missing Miami Open: Dominic Thiem
Dominic Thiem is of the opinion that Novak Djokovic will bounce back from the setback of not participating in the Miami Open this year, provided he is given the opportunity to compete in the US Open.
As a result of the COVID-19 mandate issued by the US government, unvaccinated individuals are prohibited from entering the country until May 11. Unfortunately, this means that the Serb will be unable to participate in the Miami Open.
Thiem recently expressed his belief that the 22-time Grand Slam champion will be able to overcome the disappointment of missing both the Miami Open and the BNP Paribas Open.
Thiem suggested that if American travel rules change over time, Djokovic may still have the opportunity to participate in the US Open later this year.
“I guess the main thing for Novak is that the rule changes in some weeks that it’s probably a hundred percent sure that he can play the US Open and probably that’s more important for him as he already has I don’t know, 36, 37 Masters 1000 titles. So I guess it’s more important for him that he’s able to play the US Open in September,” he said.
“It’s been four years, I guess, that he hasn’t played there. So, let’s see if he’s gonna be in Miami,” Thiem added.
