NFL Week 12: San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks betting picks, preview

It’s a divisional matchups only kind of Thanksgiving, and an NFC West battle between San Francisco and Seattle wraps our Turkey Day this year. Who has the edge in this massive game?

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks: Betting Odds

Spread: San Francisco -7, Over/under: 43.5 points, San Francisco -310 | Seattle +250

Seattle suffered a heartbreaker on Sunday, losing to the Rams 17-16 with a missed 55-yard field goal try at the end. The Seahawks also suffered some injuries in the defeat that dropped them to 6-4 on the season. Quarterback Geno Smith injured his elbow in Week 11, but Pete Carroll thinks Smith plays at time of this writing.

It seems Seattle is set to be without RB Kenneth Walker this week with a quad injury, and Walker has been one of the Seahawks’ most reliable options, so the absence is sure to hit a bit. The Seahawks have now lost two of their past three, but they have rattled off four straight wins at home.

As for the 49ers, they had themselves a big passing effort in their 27-14 beatdown of the Buccaneers, and they seem back on track after a three-game slide earlier this fall. Brock Purdy has strung together two good games in a row, and San Francisco has a one-game lead over Seattle in the NFC West at 7-3.
