Today, devoted customers once again stepped foot into the ground-floor Eastgate Shopping Centre Deichmann store to scoop up branded footwear at affordable prices.
It comes after bosses completed the revamp of the re-fitted 390m2 store last Saturday, with the first 25 customers getting free shoes for up to £25, 50 per cent off selected lines and family-fun activities, such as a spin the wheel game.
Mrs Carrie, from Basildon, said: “I’m a loyal shopper at Deichmann, and I absolutely love their Basildon store’s new and improved look.
“It’s so spacious, the shelves are full to the brim and the staff are just some of the nicest people you could possibly meet.
“My husband and I choose Deichmann over other retailers because it’s the cheapest place we found to buy Sketchers.
“I’ve seen some of the brand’s trainers in other shops costing around £60 but here, I can get them for half that.
“I can’t praise the new refurbished store enough, and I’m so glad it’s back.”
As well as Sketchers, the Basildon store stocks exclusive lines from brands, such as Adidas, Fila, Nike and Puma.
Tony Clements, also from Basildon, added: “It’s good to see businesses investing in upgrading their stores in the town.
“Many people have been coming in and out of the store, which is also a positive thing because it shows there’s a demand for Deichmann among the community.
“I’m certain it will continue to do well.”
The re-opening comes after the brand’s Southend Victoria Shopping Centre store underwent a £200,000 refurbishment and opened on October 31.
The Basildon store is open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm, on Sunday.
Deichmann frequently collaborates with big name fashion designers and A-List stars, including model and influencer Leni Klum and British singers Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding.
At more than 100 years old, Deichmann has stores in 31 countries worldwide – which includes 130 stores in the UK.
