EasyJet flights from UK to ‘world’s best beach’ with incredible views from just
The title of ‘World’s best beach’ has been bestowed upon a stunning location with golden sands and sparkling blue waters.
And you can fly there from the UK in under three hours – for as little as £17.99.
Typically, when global rankings for the most exquisite beaches are announced, jet-setters might expect to venture to far-flung destinations like Australia, Hawaii, or Indonesia.
However, this year has brought a surprise as Tripadvisor has crowned a European beach as the top spot globally.
Praia da Falesia in Olhos de Agua, Portugal, has claimed the prestigious title of the world’s best beach according to Tripadvisor.

Describing the idyllic seaside gem, Tripadvisor said: “Praia da Falesia is known for its dramatic cliffs, golden sands, and sparkling blue waters. Sunbathe on the huge shore, go swimming or body surfing in the waves, or stroll along the scenic footpath on top of the cliffs and check out the incredible views.
“The beach has been awarded Blue Flag recognition for its cleanliness, plus there are restrooms, a snack bar, and it’s easy to get to via public transportation.”
Nestled in the Algarve region, merely 10km west of Faro, the beach is a mere two-and-a-half-hour flight from British shores.
And bargain hunters can even snag flights to this destination for as little as £17.99. Easyjet is currently offering flights to this Portuguese paradise at that bargain price in September, flying from London Southend to Faro.
Back to the beach – it’s probably no surprise that Praia da Falesia boasts an impressive near five-star rating on Tripadvisor, given the glowing reviews it gets.
One visitor gushed: “Beautiful beach, especially for the stunning colours of the cliff. Excellent accessibility and calm sea for children. The best of many beaches I’ve been to.”
Another added: “Before descending to the beach, you are immediately amazed by the view. It’s a little difficult to climb up when you leave the beach, but it’s worth it, as it’s a magnificent day there.”
What’s truly remarkable about Praia da Falesia is its unspoiled beauty, especially considering its location in one of the globe’s most frequented tourist hotspots.
The beach extends over an impressive 8km, maintaining its cleanliness and untouched charm despite the potential for heavy tourist traffic.
Praia da Falesia’s unique rock formations set it apart from other beaches in the region.
“As soon as I reached Praia da Falesia, the scenery took my breath away. The bright orange cliffs and the visible layers of rock made the geographer in me do a little backflip of joy,” enthused travel blogger the Mindful Ginger Nut about their recent visit.
“As far as I was concerned, I had found paradise. I knew I was walking along the beach with a massive grin on my face, as I stared in awe of the scenery. Around every corner I walked, the cliff faces changed and had something different for me to grin at.”
Look up to the cliff tops and you’ll be greeted by verdant pine trees and vibrant pink spiny thrift flowers, standing out against the brilliant blue sky.
The simplest way to reach Praia da Falesia from Faro is by car, a journey that takes approximately 30 minutes.
Simply follow the IC4/N125-4 and merge onto the A22 towards Lisboa/Portimao/Albufeira.
After about 14km, take exit 11 for the N270 toward Boliqueime. At the roundabout, take the second exit and continue until you reach Olhos de Agua and the beach.
