All the payment changes at Eastgate shopping centre car park TODAY explained

Cash payments are no longer being accepted at car park six in the Eastgate shopping centre in Basildon from today as systems have been upgraded to become ANPR camera controlled.

Previously, a chip coin would be collected by drivers on entry to the multi-storey in the Galleries to find out how much they would owe, before paying once their shopping was finished and using the same coin to exit.

Now, only tap, app and card payments will be accepted.

What are the Eastgate car park payment changes?

Signs around the centre explained: “From the November 21, this car park will no longer accept cash payments.

“Payment will be made via card, wave and pay or ECPParkBuddy app.
